Petit Gâteau Sucré is the result of over 3 year of practice, lots of creativity and a love for baking. For my birthday back in 2009 I asked my parents for some cake decorating tips. I loved baking and I thought I’d try to learn some simple cake decorating techniques. Instead they bought me cake lessons in town where I learned the basics of cake decorating. After the first class I knew it was something I wanted to pursue as a small hobby and from then on, I was hooked. I watched many, many, hours of youtube videos on technique and recipes, I went through many batches of cakes and frostings – with my family, friends and coworkers as the guinea pigs for my creations.
In 2010 this little hobby turned into a small side business while I studied for my masters in Forestry. I started to get commissioned to make cakes for big parties and events which allowed me to expand my knowledge and stretch my skills. The rest is history :)
